Listed here are resources that students and parents/guardians may use to accomplish school assignments or simply explore various learning topics.
Parent/Guardian Resources:
Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction offers an abundance of information available to parents/guardians and educators. From transportation services, to standardized testing data, this site has it all! Parents, please contact me if you have any difficulty navigating this site as it can be difficult to operate.

The Common Core State Standards website provides a multitude of information on the standards that I am working to get your children to meet. From this site, you can access the standards, watch informative videos, and learn the myths and facts about CCSS. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the school curriculum or the standards, feel free to ask me.

Wenatchee School District allows parents to access lunch menus, contact information of different schools, and upcoming events. This website is a good way to get connected with the school community. You can also access Skyward from this site which allows you to view your child's grades.

Read Write Think offers parents/guardians and educators a multitude of resources for teaching kids literacy. From this site, you have access to articles and posts about literacy development and after school resources parents and guardians can utilize to help their students through their literacy development.

KidsHealth presents parents with reputable and plentiful information regarding your child's well-being. From this site you have access to articles about doctors, first aid, school safety, emotional and nutritional wellness, and so much more! KidsHealth also provides recipes for families with all kinds of nutritional needs.

Student Resources:
Khan Academy is a video-based site where students have access to thousands of video tutorials regarding math, economics, science, and so much more! Creating an account on Khan Academy is easy, and free. Our class will be using Khan Academy as a learning tool, so please create an account. Khan Academy also offers an iPad app for your convenience. It is also free and easy to navigate.

Discovery kids offers countless videos, games, and opportunities to explore different scientific topics. No membership or account is needed for this site. Students can use this site to investigate new topics.

PBS kids offers interactive games and activities for students. This site does not require an account, however, if you wish to save your game scores and progress, an account is needed. Creating an account on PBS is free and simple, but there is no obligation to make one. PBS also offers a variety of different educational apps for students. The link will take you to a page where you can download a number of apps to your iPhone or iPad.

Steve Spangler Science gives students access to multitudes of science experiments. Student can access these experiment videos for free. Most of Spangler's experiments can also be viewed on YouTube under The Spangler Effect channel.

Time for Kids gives students an opportunity to explore and learn about the world around them. Articles, photos, and videos are made available to view. The Homework Helper page on this site can be particularly helpful to students in writing papers, making flashcards, and much more!
